Facebook restricts the amount of text in an ad image to 20%. The purpose for the restriction is to help keep ads relevant and useful. Users have come to expect a specific experience when visiting the site. First and foremost it’s a place to stay connected with friends and family, get news and information, then a place to stay informed about businesses and brands. Facebook fully understands this expectation from their users so it puts restrictions on how much text an image can have.
