We are sometimes asked if the future of SEO is automation software. The simple answer is…depends on what you consider to be automation and SEO for that matter. Regardless of what might happen someday, let’s take a look at where automation software is now. But first, an over simplified summary of the typical SEO campaign:

2. Actual labor including- on-page changes, content creation and link building

3. Reporting and monitoring

Of the three segments, #1- Research and analysis and #3- Reporting and monitoring are the focus of most software programs. While the middle segment, #2- Actual labor, is by far the most labor intensive and requires the most experience and expertise.
