Garrett, Kevin and I went through Apple’s WWDC and Google’s I/O and highlighted some of our favorite things. Interestingly we got into the future of search. I made some pretty bold predictions as we look to whats coming down the line and consider how people will be searching in the future. Some highlights are:

  • Search is increasingly going mobile.
  • People are creating a ton of content and having conversations on their mobile devices.
  • Their personal content and interactions as well as the entirety of the internet will be searchable through their smart devices.
  • In a more personal search arena, Apple and Google may be duking it out over privacy. Apple has some advantages, Google has others, but a war is brewing.

What do you think? Am I talking nonsense? Is Kevin spot on that privacy doesn’t and never will matter? Watch the discussion and let us know what you think. How will this play out over the next 3-5 years? Who will be the surprise players and who may stumble?
